- Red Squirrels
The red squirrels have returned in abundance again this year. The population in the park dwindeled in 2011 after the harsh winter but we are again regularly seeing the squirrels running around the park and jumping through the trees.
- Highland Games
We are now into the highland games season. There games on locally most weekends. Click here for a list of somes of the local events.
- Hidden Glen
Enjoy a land rover tour exploring local wildlife and scenery and learn some of the rich history of the area including that of local hero Rob Roy.

Blair Drummond Safari Park is a wild day out for all the family with lions, giraffes and much much more.
- Walking Tracks
The area is rich with great walks for all ages and ability. You will never be far away from a stunning view whatever the weather.
- Famous Grouse Distillery
The Famous Grouse Distillery in Crieff is open throughout the year with guided tours including an interactive show. There is also a newly refurbished cafe and shop.

Seasonal Caravan pitches

Welcome to the Highlands
Welcome to Balquhidder Braes Holidays Park's website. We are a small family run holiday park in the heart of Scotland and next to the Queen Elizebeth Forrest offering luxury quality self catering log cabins, modern self catering caravan holiday homes as well as touring caravan spaces and tent pitches.
Wonderfully situated in the centre of Scotland, one mile north of Strathyre and one mile south of Loch Earn in the Gateway to the Highlands, and in the heart of Rob Roy country. We are privileged to be within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park - an area of outstanding natural beauty in historic Perthshire. We have many species of flora and fauna on and around our site including red squirrels, deer, otters, osprey and wild orchids.
The dramatic landscape within this area of Scotland makes this area perfect for a break at any time of year, and increasingly customers are opting for a peaceful Autumn or Winter break.The area is steeped in history and myth. Rob Roy could not resist the area of Balquhidder and kept returning to it and finally made the area his final resting place. And Sir Walter Scott - a frequent visitor to Perthshire - wrote the following:
"These beautiful and wild regions, comprehending so many lakes, rocks, sequested valleys, and dim copsewoods, are not quite abandoned by the fairies,who have resolutely maintained secure footing in a region so well suited for their residence."
Centrally located for Touring and sightseeing between Callander and Killin, we are only 80 minutes from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perth. We provide a great base for those wanting to walk the many local Munros including Ben Vorlich and Stuc a Chrion. Golf, walking, water-sports, fishing and cycling are all available on our doorstep, as well as many of Scotlands top tourist attractions.
