Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre

Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre is a family friendly wildlife centre, with plenty of highland cows. Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre is set in 100 acres of beautiful Perthshire countryside. In addition to the wide variety of animals and birds is an indoor playbarn with real tractors, swings and sandpit. Outdoors a large play area with ‘flying fox’ will keep the kids (big and small) entertained for hours. You will also find the Falconry Centre, Pine Lodge Café, Gift Shop and unique wild bird hatchery; hatchings from Easter to October. Open daily 10am until dusk.

Blair Drummond Safari Park

Blair Drummond Safari Park Elephants, Rhinos, Giraffes, Zebras, Lions, Tigers, Bears, Ostriches, Meerkats, Camels, Antelopes, Bison. DIY barbecues lit at busy periods, or on request. Masses of tables and benches for picnics. You can also enjoy a delicious meal in the Ranch Kitchen and even adopt an animal. All in all a great day out.

The Scottish Wool Centre

The Scottish Wool Centre features a sheepdog school show and offers seasonal activities throughout the year.

Go Ape

Go Ape is an award-winning high wire forest adventure course of rope bridges, Tarzan Swings and zip slides up to 40 feet up in the trees. Appealing to a wide age range, customers are fitted with a climbing harness, given instructions, and then trek from tree to tree high above the forest floor (over 10’s only).

Loch Katrine

Winter sailings are now departing every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 1.30pm every week. Enjoy a 1 hour cruise on the Lady of the Lake and take in scenery that inspired Sir walter Scott.

Argarty Red Kites Project

Red Kites are back in Scotland after an absence of nearly 130 years. Visit this working farm, and for a very modest fee be taken on a Ranger led walk to see the acrobatic and colourful birds.

Bird Watching

We are priviledged to have a wide variety of birds in our corner of the National Park. In addition to just relaxing and seeing what comes your way, go can get out and about on the Trossachs Bird of Prey Trail (www.birdofpreytrail.com). This takes you on a circular tour of the local area where you are likely to see many species such as Merlin, Buzzard and Osprey, and perhaps even a Golden Eagle.

Pheonix Falconry

Featured on BBC’s Animal Hospital, this provides a chance to spend time on an exclusive Highland Hawking Estates, working with Hawks, Pointing Dogs and Ferrets.
