Cycling

We are right on Cycle Route 7, offering scenic, safe cycling along the old railway line. Bike hire is available locally  through Comrie Croft Bikes.

The national park has many options for cycling; from short hour-long rides to long distance touring; on-road, off-road or on dedicated cycle track.

Forest Enterprise has way marked many cycle routes in its woodlands. For more information on these routes please use the details below:

National Cycle Network Route 7 The route (215 miles/347km approx 60 miles/97km in Perthshire) uses forest tracks, traffic-free trails and minor roads and is regarded as one of the highlights of the National Cycle Network and runs between Drymen in the south and Killin in the northeast, via Glen Ogle, Lochearnhead, Strathyre, Callander, Aberfoyle and Gartmore.

Legend Sailing (www.legendsailing.co.uk) offer a fantastic mountain bike trip.  They take you up to the top of Glen Ogle pass, and then you have a scenic downhill cycle on the old railwayline.  They also offer archery, canoeing etc at Loch Earn.

Killin outdoor centre www.killinoutdoor.co.uk: Mountain bike hire (delivery to the holiday park by arrangement). Also canoe and kayak hire with buoyancy aid, paddles and route map.
